    Last week, my mare and I had one of the best dressage lessons we have ever had. Since Jeff took over the shoeing several months ago, my 18-year old mare has improved dramatically. In addition to increasing her shoe size to where it should be, we recently decided to try a couple of new things due to two main concerns I had: my mare was avoiding loading her right hind, and she was experiencing some longitudinal and lateral stiffness (we are schooling 2nd level and a few upper level movements). Jeff put a wedge on the right hind and a new rolled toe shoe on the front, and to my extreme delight, my horse was no longer stiff and was moving freely! During the lesson, my trainer commented during the warm-up that my mare looked better than ever and continued to be very pleased with the way we were going. It was not until we took a break in the middle of the lesson that I told her that Jeff had put a wedge on the right hind and a new rolled toe shoe on the front. Needless to say, the trainer was amazed, and asked me to congratulate Jeff for doing such an amazing job. I feel that Jeff has found the answer to a huge question I have been dealing with for a long time. I can't thank him enough, and I'm sure my mare feels physically so much more comfortable and happy. Plus, Jeff's a super nice guy!

    I can't tell you how much better Minka is, since you've started shoeing her.  After more than 2 years of trying to figure out why she couldn't hold the lead at the canter and was so uncomfortable; she is moving like Marilyn Monroe.  Six vets, a bone scan, injections, chiropractic adjustments and numerous supplements have not done what you have accomplished in your shoeing.  Your eye for balance and mechanics is fabulous and I am so thankful to have my horse back.  She has been a Rock Star lately and we are ready to get back into the show ring.  What a transformation....thank you!!!
